Andy Pfannes is one of Design Build Team’s conscientious lead carpenters. Since joining Design Build Team in 2001, Andy excels at keeping jobs on time and on budget. He is certified through Associated General Contractors and the Builders’ Association in Kansas City, Missouri and has a Construction Management degree from Longview Community College. Andy has several areas of specialization including the regulations and procedures dealing with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA).
Monica, Andy’s wife, is a Spanish teacher at North Kansas City High School and he volunteers with various high school activities including the Spanish Dance Team and the Northland Diversity Council. Not only is he a talented carpenter, but he plays the guitar and mandolin, and sings!

Our plans are more detailed than most; we draw the details as we are building the project. Even the changes are drawn to scale – and at no charge! Below is a drawing from a change we did on a recent project. Notice the details we sketched.

We are often called upon to spearhead a project because of our 35 years of experience and our design-build methods. We make it a priority to stay up-to-date on new building materials and methods. Our carpenters have been with Design Build Team for most of their careers and are very efficient.
We also work directly with the subcontractors so you don’t have to worry about the minute details. We have been practicing conservation and using sustainable materials since in 70s and have “Certified Green Professionals” on staff.
