Whether living in the big city, or on the outskirts of town, your home’s interior architecture does not have to reflect your community. If you dare to go more contemporary and urban with your interior architecture, be bold and design the home of your dreams.

Take a look at this home that was designed by a Naperville, Ill. architect that was featured in the September 2012 edition of Interiors Magazine.

A stone wall above the fireplace adds texture and a natural touch the living room. Notice the sleek wall-paneled ceiling with linear slits that hide the ambient lighting.

The entry has an intriguing foyer with a serpentine staircase and dropped ceiling that captures the eye.

Sleek gray cabinetry against the light colored walls add great color contrast in the kitchen. The cabinetry also hides a few of the appliances.

When it comes to your Kansas City home’s architectural style, what do you prefer?
