Did you know? There’s just a few weeks left to take advantage of the federal stimulus package’s green provisions. Just in time for winter, you can boost your home’s efficiency and write off 30% of the following green makeovers, for up to a tax credit of up to $1,500!

Roofing & Insulation. Metal or asphalt roofs certified by Energy Star are eligible. Insulation must meet International Energy Conservation Codes.

Windows & Doors. Windows and skylights and doors must have a U-Factor (a measurement of insulation) of .3 or less.

Water heaters. Whether it’s gas, oil, solar or electric heat, all energy-efficient water heaters are considered equal according to Uncle Sam.

Biomass Stoves. Pellet stoves, the most common biomass stove, are a clean, energy-efficient way to heat your home. To qualify, stoves must have a 75% or higher thermal efficiency rating.

Electric Heat Pump. Any pump carrying the Energy Star label is eligible; applies to both air and ground source pumps.

The federal tax credit expires December 31st; ask us how we can help save you money and fit your green-design needs.
