Sunset Hills Revisited

June 9, 2010 by jestroff

We recently posted about this Mediterranean style home in Sunset Hills that we renovated for homeowners Joe and Patty Cambiano, but we thought it deserved a second look.  We actually had a chance to walk through the house before Joe and Patty purchased it and came up with a plan of action on that first day.

Renovating a home takes time and patience as Joe and Patty soon discovered.  During construction we came across water and structural damage that had ruined some of the stucco and parts of the roof.

A little after a year later the Cambianos had their dream home.

The kitchen, like in many homes, is the focal point of the home.

Peggy told Kansas City Homes and Gardens that the yellow hood was inspired by HGTV.

One of the draws to this home was its architectural accents such as the arched doorways and handcrafted wrought-iron gates, which date back to the 16th century.
